The ability to search unix man pages is totally borked in KDE Help Center and has been for maybe two releases now.

While this has been an ongoing p.i.t.a (re: KDE3, htdig etc) it now seems to be totally unable to search for a man page entry.

Example that inspired this report:

Searching for info on 'udev' on Kubuntu 10.04:

 [1] no search index can be built; previous functionality disappeared; you now have to trawl through (and have some idea of man section for your target)... I know it's (8)

 [2] choose "(8) System Administration" from contents; get a list of all the stuff; in alphabetical order.

 [3] choose "Find" and type 'udev' and get *zero* hits.

 [4] knowing it really is there scroll down and see 'udevd'

 [5] try find again; try 'next' and 'previous' button to see if you missed something obvious; try 'options' to see you don't have 'case sensitive' or 'whole words' selected.

 [6] report bug :-)

Re-enable the full-index search

Now that
- Xapian is in place for indexing and searching
- ht://dig is removed
- indexes are updated automatically each startup
we can enable the full-index search again.
