(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kppp
Version: unknown (using KDE 2.1.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Linux-Mandrake 8.0 ix86 - Beta 3
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Linux-Mandrake 8.0 2.96-0.47mdk)
OS: Linux 2.4.2-11mdksmp i686
OS/Compiler notes:

Any connection made with kppp is not dropped when either KDE is exited or X is forcibly exited. This worked in KDE 1. For people with expensive dial up connections (like here in the UK) this can be bad news !!!

FreeBSD 4.8 RC
KDE 3.1
Installed from ports

If KDE is exited normally, by clicking on the log-out button, then Kppp is shutdown.
If CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE is used the connection remains on.
