Description Younguk Kim 2010-05-10 11:49:28 UTC
Version: 1.0 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-22-generic

I want to disable to autostart "keyboard layout" in system tray.

So I exited the tray icon and rebooted the system.

But the layout did not disappear.

And then, in system configure > Regional & Langauge > Keyboard Layout, I unchecked "Show indicator for single layout"

I expected that the keyboard layout would disappear in tray.

But it appear always.

ps. My OS is Kubuntu 10.04

In 4.4 you should choose "Disable keyboard layouts" to switch keyboard switcher off. In 4.5 the code and UI has been significantly redesigned so it'll be "Show layout indicator" option.

If you feel this is still a bug please provide a bit more info. Thanks.
