Description ralfgesellensetter 2010-05-10 11:09:38 UTC
Version: 1.13.3 (using 4.4.3 (KDE 4.4.3), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.33-2.slh.6-sidux-686

When ever I want to delete a message or mark it as spam, I lack a way of doing so without loading & displaying the message body (which might be offensive or harmful).

This is also time consuming (I have to wait 5 secs before a right click responses popping up the context menu).

It is space consuming (because message body is loaded to RAM), and might even consume network traffic (for remote directories or IMAP).

I suggest that right clicking a message body should not move the "current pointer" to this message but rather treat that object in a passive way.

Thank you
Regards
Ralf.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
