In short, an option to set so that Dolphin doesn't preview files when you mouseover them, but instead only when you actively select them.

I have a netbook with a small 10" 1024x600 screen, so my screen budget is limited. As such I have my font sizes way down to 8pt, and in Dolphin I use the Detailed view zoomed out to max (smallest). I use the touchpad that's embedded in the machine.

I like the preview feature and use it a lot, but it's very hard to selectively mouseover a file and then back off the touchpad, so I don't accidentally move the cursor over to another file. It's not a big deal if I just want to preview an image and be done with it in five seconds, but moreso when I want to preview an audio clip that's a minute long. Even getting to the preview area to press "play" without accidentally touching the pad and mouseovering another file can be difficult. Sometimes I hold Alt+Tab just to be able to reposition the cursor before giving focus back to Dolphin.

An option to disable mouseover previews and only have it preview the selected file would be much appreciated.

This can perhaps be a junior job, if the powers at be allow for another configuration option.
