Version:           4.4.2 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), 4.4.2-2.fc11 Fedora)
Compiler:          gcc

when deleting a contact it remains visible in the list of contacts, but the info shown in the right pane is of the previously selected contact.

Hej,

sounds like a bug in one of the proxy models, at least
I can't reproduce it in SVN trunk, so it will be fixed
in 4.5
