Description Joseph Tate 2010-05-07 16:50:07 UTC
Version: 1.13.2 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-22-generic

I'm using procmail on the server to move certain messages to certain folders for me to batch process them. On these folders, I've unselected the "Act on new/unread mail in this folder" so as to not have to visit them every time I read mail.

In kmail version 4.3.2, this folder property prevented the "Next unread message" action from entering the folder even if it had new mail in it. However now with 4.4.2, "Next unread message" traverses every folder with new mail in it (including the Junk folder).

This regression makes it hard to batch e-mail reading on specific folders and still navigate quickly through most of my correspondence.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
