Description Andreas Klöckner 2010-05-07 01:36:39 UTC
Version: 1.13.3 (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start composing an email, don't send yet
2. Quit KMail. (via Kontact in my case)
3. Restart KMail. (Kontact, really)
4. Observe that the draft email is not reopened.

In 4.3, KMail used to do this.

This bug has already caused me to lose a number of half-finished emails. :(

I can replicate this bug in Kubuntu 10.04, kmail Version 1.13.2

I purposefully saved a draft because my system crashes. After the crash - the draft was not there. One of the purposes of saving is not to lose work, yet a saved draft was lost when the system crashed. This needs a high priority.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
