kmail 1.13.2 / 4.4.2-0ubuntu5 Kubuntu Karmic 64bit 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux I can confirm this. Sender's pictures are not shown, x-faces are. I can however see the assigned pictures in - kopete (if using kontact-images as avatar images) - krunner (mail to xyz) - kontact itself I can confirm this: kmail --version Qt: 4.6.3 KDE Development Platform: 4.5.00 (KDE 4.5.0) KMail: 1.13.5 After transferring the standard resource for the address book from ~/.kde/share/apps/kabc/std.vcf to ~/.local/share/contacts and changing the standard resource to ~/.local/share/contacts (personal contacts), the sender's picture are also no longer shown in kopete too. So I think akonadi seems not to provide the sender's picture for other applications then the kadressbook at the moment. This is apparently a long-dormant bug, but I've got the same problem in kmail 1.13.6. Avatars/images are set (and display) in the address book, but do not show in kmail. Where do you want to show it in kmail ? I know where X-Face is displaying. Regards. This feature is reimplemented in KMail2. I think we can close this bug. So we close it. Now the Sender's pictures are shown in kmail2 (Kubuntu 11.10, KDE 4.7.1, x64), but only from the already saved contacts. I can add a new pictures to a contact. I see it in the KadressBook, but the new picture is not shown in Kmail2. So, just the pictures, which were already there (transferred from Kmail1: see my comment 3) from are shown in kmail2 for me. |
