Version:            (using KDE 4.4.2)
Compiler:          gcc 4.4.3 
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Fedora RPMs

Got the attached result when I opened kopete, klicked on its systray-icon and then again closed kopete's main window.

Opening kopete already leaves a "hole" in taskmanager, when kopete's main window is closed the hole was removed, but the artifact appeard.

This looks like the taskbar items being "overlapped"; like in bug 224447. Can you confirm it is the same ?

you can merge those two.

After all, its quite disillusion to see bugs like this in _core_ components unfixed fo so long. Who needs social network integration / semantic desktop stuff, if even the taskbar doesn't work correctly.
