When converting a CRW file to DNG the metadata is significantly different from files produced by the Adobe DNG converter.  Many of the tags do not match the values from the original RAW file including the camera name, date and exposure information.

Please test with current implementation from svn, next kipi-plugins 1.3.0. Jens Muller has patched DNG converter with new DNG sdk from Adobe and added a lots of missing important metadata backport from private RAW to DNG.

I'll give it a try this weekend to see.  Hopefully its working now and I can actually move to a DNG work flow. :-)

I finally got some time to take another look at this.  The current version (2.9.0) of the DNG Converter is producing files that can't be used at all and are crashing both UFRaw and Darktable.  I'm uploading my sample files here:

This problem is not reproducible with last 5.0.0
I close this file now. Re-open it if necessary.
