This is a feature many MUAs have:  An extra address book to which addresses from people I send mails to or reply to are automatically added.  I think its called "Collected Addresses" in most cases.

To clarify:  KMail2 does collect my addresses, what I'd like to have is a "real" addressbook stored in Akonadi instead of the current kconfig store.
