Hi KDE-programmer,
when starting up KDE I'm having the following problem:

The Desktop is freezing for about 25 seconds. Then I'm having the error message that the analog audio device is not working.

On my Desktop I'm having the following Widgets running upon start up:
Analog watch, showing seconds
Eyes
Exchange converter with data from Yahoo
LED weather station
LED weather forcast. Both with BBC Weather from UK MET-office
Google Mail - notifyer, checking 4 gmail accounts

Hope you can fix that.

Thanks for an excellent OS.

I don't think that the plasma widgets are to blame. Do you use Pulseaudio? Also please state which exact Phonon backend you are using and maybe attach a screenshot of the exact error message (KSnapshot should do the trick).

Closing for lack of feedback.
