Description Tobias Leupold 2010-04-25 12:12:12 UTC
Version: 0.4.0 (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

When non-latin-1 characters are used in a web shortcut (like gg: for Google search or wp: for Wikipedia search), rekonq messes up the search term.

Example: try to search for "Eläkeläiset" in Konqueror and rekonq.

Konqueror:
Typed in: "gg:Eläkeläiset"
URL: "http://www.google.de/search?q=El%C3%A4kel%C3%A4iset&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8"
Search term: "Eläkeläiset"

rekonq:
Typed in: "gg:Eläkeläiset"
URL: "http://www.google.de/search?client=safari&rls=de-DE&q=El%25C3%25A4kel%25C3%25A4iset&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8"
Search term: "El%C3%A4kel%C3%A4iset"

this is a known problem, and has been fixed in the latest git version.
Thanks for the report :-)
