Description Lucian Marinescu 2010-04-24 17:27:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I added my GMail account to KMail (IMAP), checked to see if I can send/receive messages and deleted a couple of them.

All the emails from the folders I had subscribed to has now been marked as unread, according to the webmail interface, but not according to KMail (it properly shows which used to be read and which used to be unread, even after restart & recheck)

Correction: only 300-something out of 500-something were marked as unread.
The rest were probably omitted due to one of the many crashes of KMail.

Affects me as well, when I read a new email it is marked as read, but on the next sync the status changes to unread. Using dIMAP and gmail service (does not seem to happen with my university IMAP server).

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
