Description Sabine Faure 2010-04-23 17:21:31 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

- Launch KOrg
- Go to Settings menu/Configure KOrganizer...
- Click on 'Time and Date' Icon
- Set the 'Day begins at:' to 9:00
- Click on 'Ok'

Nothing happens atm but according to the KOrg help page: 'it should ...sets the time that will be displayed by default on the top of the calendar view'.

So I am guessing that this functionality is not implemented yet.

In fact I retested this and if you just quit and relaunch KOrg after all the steps above, then you can see that this fonctionality does work.

So this seems to be an update pb.

Not sure if the agenda should scroll to the new day beginning. That setting is just for korganizer's startup.

An analogy could be "Setting the home page on your browser", the browser doesn't go to the new page just because you changed the config.

Thx Sergio, I understand now ;o)
The functionality works fine.

However, its aim is not very clear for the user so I suggest to modify the label to:
'On KOrganizer start up, day begins at:'

So I am reopening this bug.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
