Description Ralf Jung 2010-04-21 16:35:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I am using KDE 4.4.2 in Kubuntu 10.04 (beta). Often when I start Kontact (approximately every 2nd time), a window pops up saying that the Akonadi self-test failed. The address book is unavailable in that case, showing the same error again. I then quit Kontact and start it again, which fixes the address book. However, it's not really a solution to always start Kontact twice, so I wonder what the cause of the problem is.
I pasted the self-test log at http://pastebin.com/SNK8wmUM

Same here (KDE 4.4.3 from OpenSUSE packages).

I can confirm this on Arch (KDE-4.4.4). I always have to start KMail twice, because on the first start the self-test of the Akonadi server fails, killing KMail. When re-starting KMail, the error does not appear again.
