Description Janet 2010-04-19 02:26:20 UTC
Version: 1.4 (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

After I have resized (resampled/cut) a photo dolphin's information sidebar and the file tooltip nonetheless show the original picture dimensions obviously stored in the exif information. So even photos brought down to icon size are shown as e.g. 3008x2000 because that was the size the photo was taken.

Concerning the picture dimension information dolphin/nepomuk shouldn't rely on the exif information because that special information isn't useful at all after a photo has been manipulated and is just misleading. Dolphin always should show the real picture dimensions.

Thanks Janet for the report, I agree.

(internal note: must be fixed in Strigi and/or KFileMetaDataWidget from kdelibs)

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have resolved this bug.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
