Description Valorie Zimmerman 2010-04-15 00:46:45 UTC
Application: kcmshell4 ()
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2)
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-20-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu lucid (development branch)

-- Information about the crash:
Lost sound a couple of days ago, and every time I try something new, such as uninstalling pulseaudio, I check to see if I can get sound from any of the reported devices. This usually freezes the config screen, but today it crashed.

Thanks for making it easy to install more debugging packages! I hope this makes it easier to figure out what's happening.

I am using Debian Squeeze. I tried to change settings in "audio device". When closing systemsettings it crashed.

Which Phonon backend do you use?
Comment 4 spamfang1199 2010-10-18 11:39:17 UTC
I am using phonon-backend-VLC. Pulseaudio and pulseaudio-module-x11 are not installed. But vlc-plugin-pulse was. As soon as I uninstalled it, the crashes vanished.
