Version: (using KDE 4.4.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It would be good to have the possibility to choose (for each contact and/or globally) the possibility to send an automatic greeting email on the contact birthday. Probably it's better if it's a personal/contact setting, as i'd not want to send that email to every contact i've, but just to some.

Hej,

this is a nice idea but nothing that should be implemented in KAddressBook directly. With KDE 4.4 KAddressBook is based on Akonadi which allows an easy access to contacts from 3rd-party applications, so your idea can be implemented in a separated application. However you can use the custom field functionality from KAddressBook, that will be available in KDE 4.5 again, to have a boolean field 'Send birthday email', which will be evaluated by the application to send the mail only to a selected range of contacts.

Ciao,
Tobias
