What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was selecting multiple files to edit the metadata when the crash occurred. I have a mix of CR2 and camera-generated JPGs on an external hard drive.  My collection is around 200GB but it is separated by date into different folders (using f-spot).

Yes, this might be bug 222974. They look similar, although I did not commit any changes.

Since digiKam 5.0.0, KDirWatch was been replaced by QFileSytemWatcher. It will
not reproducible.
