Version:           4.4.2, 4.3.4 (using Devel)
Compiler:          gcc 4:4.4.3-1 
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled sources

I enter a searchterm in the searchbar (pop account)
I get correct search results but at the same time an unrelated random mail opens that has no connection to the searchterm at all.
This happens on 2 maschines, with 4.4.2 and 4.3.4. and is reproducable.
This does not happen with an imap account.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
