Description Mark 2010-04-09 23:39:04 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Archlinux Packages

please consider adding a (checkbox) option to Kopete that would allow metacontacts to share chat history.
I use metacontacts for the same persons with different chat accounts (icq,facebook,skype,..) and it would be convenient to see always the latest conversation with that person.

Some deeper thoughts:
* merging existing histories: either somehow properly merge OR easy and good enough for a start: just merge all the history files for the metacontact to one file and simlink the individual chats' files to the shared one. So ongoing conversation would be chronologically correct.

What do you think about this?
Cheers, Mark

I agree. Different protocols/sub-accounts could show in different colours in the history display to easily differentiate. Each protocol could be tagged to allow it to be displayed jointly, or separately.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
