hi, Thanks for taking time to report this bug.the time for notification is about 4-5seconds which is enough according to me. Plus, If I want to ignore a message, increase the time would only annoy the user. Have you considered 'Disabling' this auto-hide for notifications? Right CLick on 'System tray" * System Tray Settings --> Auto Hide --> uncheck 'Automatically hide new notifications and jobs after a short delay' As I said, for me the notification is a fraction of a second--maybe 500ms. From your response, I guess this is a problem specific to my configuration. Other notifications display just fine, so this is obviously a problem with Kopete on my system. The problem is not present after a fresh install of Kubuntu 10.04. Closing bug since the reporter said it is working now. |
