Version:           1.2.0 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Mandriva Linux release 2010.1 (Cooker) for i586)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.33.2-desktop-1mnb

select a movie
then go to geolocalization/modify coordinate
then
search a spot
then
click on a spot
then maker is set at the spot
but all values stays at 0,0,0
then
click on ok
then
in the gps widget the position of the movie is 0,0,0

I confirm. I suspect that something is broken in digiKam::kipi-interface or in digiKam database backend. I'm not sure.

You use last digiKam/kipi-plugins code from svn (next 1.3.0 release) ???

no digikam 1.2 and kipi-plugins 1.2

i repeat the operation for other tests about photos and movies and i confirm it works now
