Description Peter Möller 2010-04-07 21:48:03 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

open the print dialog. There is an option missing:
- select the media type

It is needed, if you want to change the feeder and/or the paper type. Not-KDE applications like OpenOffice or gimp have it already.

Of course, this is not a special problem of okular, more of kde itself, since the print dialog is a "system"-dialog. But there was no other choice than selecting an application. So please feel free to add it to the kde 4.4 wishlist.

It seems to be a low problem, but since no kde program is able of changing it I have a real problem, because the media type is CD/DVD at moment ;-)

There is something else, that i did forget about:

The print dialog has a tab for advanced options. There you will find the param as "readonly". But the entry does not reflect the media type option, that might be changed with cups or yast. Should this issue have an own bug report?
