Please update to digiKam 1.2.0 and try again. 0.10.0 is pretty old... If you tell me the relevant functions I could debug (gdb). Kathrin Schönlein Could this be a bug in the gphoto driver for the camera? It seems digikam is able to correctly read the data from the metadata, but possibly for the renaming the gphoto information is used. Does the relevant camera require gphoto to access it, or is it a USB mass storage device (you can access pictures from dolphin etc.)? In any case, I recommend to try with a recent version. I fixed a lots of file relevant of date management in camera interface with future 2.1.0... Can you test with code from current git master and report.
