Description RalphB 2010-04-05 16:57:00 UTC
Version: 2.4.2 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages)
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-19-generic

The renaming dialog preselects the entire filename. It would be a great time saver if only the base filename without the extension would be preselected. That way, you could quickly change the filename without having to retype the extension.

Gwenview 1.4.2 actually did it that way.

(Side note: Having an inline renaming instead of a popup would be even better ...)

This has been implemented in trunk.
Comment 2 Peter Mühlenpfordt 2011-10-31 18:41:30 UTC
This one is some time ago now but I can't find it in actual version of gwenview.
Using KDE 4.7.2 / Gwenview 2.7.2 (Kubuntu 11.10).
What happened to this fix?
