I can confirm this behaviour (Mandriva 2010.0, KDE 4.2.2, Amarok 2.3, Phonon backend gestreamer) - no such message with xine backend (but no sound, too ;-)). Confirmed for OpenSUSE 11.2 with KDE 4.4.x Factory packages and Gstreamer from Packman. Like Cyril Brosch, no such issues with the Xine backend (from which I switched due to lackluster FLAC support). I had the same error. It may have been an "initially not configured" error. When I explicitly checked the gstreamer backend everything worked. It was configured to use the xine backend and the gstreamer bindings for phonon/xine weren't (aren't) installed. Confirmed on Arch Linux, KDEmod 4.4.3 and amarok 2.3.0 from Extra repo. Xine works fine. All available Gstreamer packages are installed (bad, ugly, etc.) and I get that message. Reassigning to Phonon *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 221119 *** reassigning to the new bugzilla product for better bug tracing of the various backends. Sorry for the noise. |
