i use the standartversion of kopete. While I opened the programm first time, i wasn't able to find the button, which allows me to creat/add a new access.
The problem happens, because the window had been to small in horizontal size. Cause of this at the bottom of the window is the scroll bar shown to move the content of the window left and right. This bar hides the button to creat a new access.

I found the button by chance, cause I increased the horizontal size of the window.

PS:
I'm German. I don't know if the button in english is called "creat new access". The german name of the button is following:
"Klicken, um einen neuen Zugang hinzufügen"

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
