Description Andreas Kahnt 2010-04-02 19:00:28 UTC
Version: 4.4.2 (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I've added a second identity and transport path - the first I use as default and is appropiately marked.

1) kmail tries to send a new mail via second path, which does not work because provider does not allow relaying. The mail stays in outbox.

2) reconfigure first path as default does not change behaviour

3) restart of kmail does not change behavior

4) deletion of second send transfer path: an error occurres that the transfer path is invalid, the mails cannot sent :-(((

I do not find any config item to redirect the mail in the outbox - what should I do? A new generated mail still tries to go the missing path, restart of kmail does not change behaviour.

I reconfigured second path and set it as default, then send a message to that provider account (no relay): ok. Then I reconfigured the default to the first transfer path and send a mail: now it works as expected.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
