Description Andreas Roth 2010-04-01 17:11:23 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I created two new user accounts:
- one account (named localtux) with a home directory on the local hdd
- one account (named tux) with a nfs home directory
Both users had an empty home directories.
Login with tux, start dolphin and right-click on a folder. It takes about 3-4 seconds until the context menu appears.
Login with localtux, start dolphin and right-click on a folder. The context menu appear right away without any measurable delay.

I'm closing this issue, since it no longer bothers me. I don't know what caused these problems. I assume i was some kind of misconfiguration in my setup.

Well, it still happens here, but I am doing heavy I/O and ksycoca changes frequently.
