Version: 4.4.1 (using KDE 4.4.1)
Compiler: gcc (Gentoo 4.4.3 p1.0) x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

I have some contacts in an akonadi based personal contacts folder. I wanted to copy them to a normal addressbook (copy/paste). After I pasted these 15 contacts everything seems ok. All 15 contacts are displayed correctly. But 2-4 seconds later 5 contacts disappear and never come back. I've tested that on 2 different computers with different home dirs with no success.

Hej,

what do you mean with 'normal' address book? If it is a vCard file or vCard directory
based address book, I'd recommend you to drop them in favour of the 'Personal Contacts'
address book. The latter ones is faster then vCard file based and supports the storing
of contact groups (which neither the vCard file nor vCard directory based support).

Ciao,
Tobias

Yes, it's a vcard file based addressbook. The "personal contacts" addressbook contains some special contacts with birthday that I want in my calendar. This feature is missing with personal contacts but working with vcards.
On my work today I tried something similar. I wanted to cut some contacts out of a vcard based addressbook and add them to a new vcard addressbook. Almost same behavior. Some contacts (one time even all of them) disappear.

Reassigning the resource to the SingleFileResourceBase product, this is a general problem of these kind of resources

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
