Description Thomas Domenig 2010-03-29 12:54:43 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I really like the special character composing in KDE! Like the following combinations

' + n = ń
^ + c = ĉ
~ + n = ñ
^ + z = ẑ

However, when I type

° + a

I don't get the å. It would be really nice to implement this feature also for the ° character, because there are also a lot of combinations with this sign and vocals, especially in Northern European languages and Austrian dialects.

I think, that must be easy to be implemented, but a very nice feature for people like me, who prefer to write the words correctly and not be restricted to ANSI.

KDE does not decide which characters to compose, it is done by the X keyboard extension. Please report this wish to http://bugs.freedesktop.org/
