Description Roman Fietze 2010-03-28 14:07:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.1)
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

When adding a new contact using the kaddressbook dialog, or just when adding a mail address to an existing contact, the early consistency check inside the EMail text field is counter productive.

Very many people's mail addresses are firstname.lastname@doman.tld, so almost every lazy, but smart user will do this: copy & paste the person's full name to the EMail text field, at least she/he will try to do that, then replace the space by a dot and append the domain.

This worked fine for years, but now it doesn't any more. When you try that the first time after updating to a recent KDE version you won't be able to find out why pasting doesn't work, and search somewhere else.
