Compiler:          gcc

I open an archive,choose a folder to add file into.Still the file gets added at the root of the archive only.

Here,in this instance,I have compiled kernel into a tar.gz archive.There is no initrd in the boot folder.I am wanting to add initrd from my boot folder into the archive.

Or is this a limitation of tar?

Hi there. This isn't a limitation of tar, but a limitation of Ark :)
