Description Frederik Schwarzer 2010-03-20 17:06:44 UTC
Version: 1.13.1 (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

Sometimes attachments that I save from an IMAP folder end up empty (o bytes) on my disk. KMail downloads them (progressbar at the lower right), asks for a destination folder and even asks to overwrite an existing file, if there is one.

To get it working again, I have to press F5 on that folder first before saving that file again.

i can confirm this behavior.

bangert@marsupilami ~/gentoo/portage $ kmail --version
Qt: 4.6.2
KDE Development Platform: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2)
KMail: 1.13.2

thanks for the tip about F5!

Probably related: when opening an attachment directly from within kmail (like a pdf file with okular), I sometimes get an error that the file can't be read (probably because it's 0 bytes as well).

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
