I miss an ability to select some text, then press some button with mouse or use some keyboard shortcut to paste that selected text with timestamps, names and quote signs (ยป) to input area.

Also, an existing "Quote last message" function can't be binded to keyboard shortcut and have to be called only via menu (maybe it needs separate bugreport).

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
