(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konqueror
Version: KDE 2.1.0
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: glibc-2.1.3-18.3mdk
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Mandrake 7.2

The cookie control feature in Konqueror is great but it could be extended to be even better. Wildcards should be available to be used when setting sites to block. That way we can block all cookies coming from (for example) ads.*.com which would cancel out a *huge* proportion of unwanted cookies on the Internet.

Similarly downloading pictures and similar media (e.g. video Flash Java and JavaScript/ECMAscript) should also be able to be filtered with wildcards. That way we can kill *anything* from sites like ads.*.com easily. It would be a great way to kill banner ads and hence make pages faster to download.
