It would be nice if Marble would optionally pre-load some tiles around the current viewport when idle, and maybe even tiles for zoomlevels next to the current one (first the ones in the higher zoomlevel, later the ones in the zoomlevel lower - since you mostly start from an overview of a map and then get to the details, panning around, zooming back out only occasionally).
