When I configure notifications in Settings | Configure Notifications, they are never triggered: no sound, no popup message, no taskbar entry modification, and even run command not run.

It is also worth noticing that sound is actually working in Kopete, because when I preview the sound in the notifications settings, it is working.

Custom notifications for a contact are not working either.


More about my config:
- I only have the History plugin enabled.
- I was having this problem with KDE 4.4.0 too.
- My window manager is not KDE, it is Fluxbox, I am just using some KDE apps like Kopete.

Even I am having trouble with this. I am using latest default fedora packages kde 4.4.1 and while preview notifications in the notifications configurations work (I can hear the sound), I hear no sounf when there is an incoming message. 

This is very strange.
