OS: OS X

Hi!

I cannot correctly logoff in MacOS X, because I get the message that kded4 terminated the logoff/shutdown. If knotify4 is running, the same happens twice (kded4 and knotify4) unless I close them beforehand in the dock.

This happens with the MacPorts version for a long time and it starts getting annoying.

(If somebody could give me hints, how I can do kde development on macos I could help. How can I set up a "global" kde and some things in my home folder. KDEDIRS from the shell is as far as I know, not inherited by OSX gui applications.)

Regards
Joseph Wenninger

I don't think we support running KDE Plasma on mac OS. :)

When I've mentored people using macOS who want to work on KDE stuff, I walk them through setting up a dev environment in a VM. Here's some documentation: https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/development/Developing_in_a_virtual_machine
