Cannot reproduce with KDE 4.4.x. Started working again this morning for me with no change on this side. Must have been something with theirs. Thanks for taking a look. :) KDE: 4.4.5 Kubuntu 10.04 I see the "timed out" message on first login and only if I immediately login after booting, if the computer has been sitting at the login screen for a few minutes the weather widget updates without a problem. Perhaps the widget starts before all the background processes it needs have finished loading? Note this is using 'BBC' Weather' and not 'Environment Canada'. This can be resolved by going into 'Weather Forecast Settings' and clicking OK without changing anything, alternatively it will sort itself out at the next update interval. Closing correctly. |
