This is an Akonadi issue. We simply need a way to handle akonadi:/ URLs properly. *** Bug 329115 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Quoting bug #329115 (which I reported, because the bugzilla query for "contact krunner" took ages): --- Status quo: When querying KRunner for contacts, it opens the VCard retrieved from Nepomuk in Kate. This is inconvenient. Suggested solution: KAddressbook should be opened instead. Improved solution: Show a preview of the contact, to e.g. allow quick retrieval of a phone number or email address. --- Further search shows that this bug is a duplicate of bug #222675. This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months. Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input. |
Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I have an Akonadi based addressbook and the Nepomuk runner enabled in KRunner. If I search for a contact ('John') I find some results. There is an VCard icon and the description says 'PersonContact'. That's all fine but selecting one of these results in a Kate editor with some text describing the contact. That's not useful and a better option would be a nice window popping up with the information displayed like the most-right panel in Kaddressbook.
