Description Gerry Gavigan 2010-03-03 01:27:04 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

Adding a birthday to a contact or creating a new contact with a birthday does not produce an entry in the calendar nor in the summary
Comment 1 Stephen Dunn 2010-05-11 23:02:10 UTC
Same here in KDE4.4.3

Akonadi reports it is working okay and the birthdays resource is enabled.
Comment 2 Mathias VĂ©drines 2010-05-21 10:10:24 UTC
I can confirm the same problem in KDE 4.4.3 in Fedora 12 (kde-redhat repos).

It seems to be a regression because I had no problem with the birthdays resource in the KDE 4.3.x versions...
The KAddressBook seems to have changed since, so the issue may be there?
Comment 3 Mathias VĂ©drines 2010-06-30 15:15:48 UTC
Still no birthday events with KOrganizer 4.4.3 in KDE 4.4.90 (4.5 RC1), Fedora 13.

Why did this was broken in all the KDE 4.4.x versions?
Why is this bug still "unconfirmed"?

I really wish that this feature will be back for the 4.5 release...
(think of KDE userdocs still claiming this nice feature as if it was working)
Comment 4 Sergio Martins 2010-06-30 17:31:17 UTC
This is working ok in 4.5 branch.

Just add a "Birthday and Anniversary" calendar to korganizer.
Comment 5 Gerry Gavigan 2010-11-25 13:32:45 UTC
Using 4.5.80
