Sometimes a user may be in offline mode and not know it. In these instances, text entered into Kopete chat windows is neither sent nor saved locally, and is therefore lost. When the user reconnects he must retype the text.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
