Version:           1.13.0 (using 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0), Kubuntu packages)
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31-19-generic

When attempting to preview an HTML message in KMail the preview pane remains empty most of the time since the KDE 4.4 upgrade. Sometimes (can be provoked through repeated selection and de-selection of the message in the message list until the message preview stays visible) the message is displayed.

When the preview pane remains empty the message is typically visible for the fraction of a second before it vanishes.

The problem still occurs with KDE 4.4.1 (KMail 1.13.1).

Another observation: The issue seems to affect all mails that have attachments (HTML and Plain Text).

The problem vanished with KDE 4.4.2 although I did not find any related fix in the changelog.
