Version: 1.13.0 (using 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-19-generic-pae

I really like the Lightning sidebar in thunderbird, where I can see calendar information while viewing email.

I think it would be great if kontact components (like Calendar, Planner, To-Do) had a dockable sidebar plugin (KOffice calls them Dockers) that you could turn on and off, the way you can do with the kontact summary plugins. So for each plugin, I could choose which component (kmail, contacts, etc) it (the plugin/docker) should be displayed with (e.g., show the calendar plugin/docker when kmail is showing, etc.).

Thanks! Kontact is awesome!

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
