Description Pascal d'Hermilly 2010-02-28 19:30:23 UTC
Version: 1.13 (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I'm experiencing heavy lack while typing in the subject field in the compose new mail dialog. About a second from when I type to when it appears on screen. Not any of the other fields lack.

Could it be the connected to me using an nvidia driver and the famous slow yakuake appearance? I mean, changing the subject field, changes the window title, thereby utilising kwin in some way.

I havent used kmail in the KDE 4 series before (I've been wating for akonadi support, but I wanted to try it out) so I don't know if it will continue to behave like this. But sure want to avoid it being around in 4.5 :-)

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
