Description Johannes Obermayr 2010-02-27 23:53:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

I deleted all openSUSE branded packages from my system.

This caused that all entries in Kickoff menu->Applications have been gone.

So I tried restoring the menu with Edit->Restore to System Menu but without success.
More: Entries in Kickoff menu->Favorites have been gone, too.

Please tell me how I can restore it (standard KDE menu structure is enough ...).

$ /etc/xdg> find
.
./autostart
./autostart/gnome-keyring-daemon.desktop
./menus
./menus/kde-settings.menu
./menus/applications.menu.kde
./menus/kde4-settings.menu
./menus/applications-merged
./menus/applications-merged/kde-essential.menu
./menus/applications-merged/kde4-essential.menu
./menus/applications-merged/ggz.merge.menu
./menus/kde-information.menu
./menus/applications.menu.kde4
./menus/ggz.menu
./menus/kde-screensavers.menu

openSUSE does really much branding and sets some stupid dependencies for packages ...
